Safety Relays

Safety Relays are a vital component of any safety system. They add the required monitoring and redundancy you will need if you wish to meet even the lowest levels of safety standards.

Euchner’s ESM Safety relays monitor the status of safety rated devices connected to them. The relay then safely and dependably shuts down the machine when the safety circuit has been broken. The relay also insures the machine is not able to be restarted until the device that stopped the machine has been put back to a safe state. The Safety Relay not only protects the personnel from the machine but also protects the machine. The relay controls locking doors and allows for a machine to come to a controlled stop before unlocking the gates.

Euchner has teamed with REER to bring to the US market the Mosaic Programmable safety relay system. Mosaic is a modular safety controller for safeguarding machines and personnel. Mosaic is capable of observing many safety sensors and commands, like safety light curtains, non-contact switches, photocells, mechanical switches, zero-speed detectors, safety mats, emergency stop devices, and two-hand controls. The Mosaic master M1 module with eight inputs, two digital outputs and two pairs of OSSD outputs will run stand alone or may be expanded. One M1 module will control many remote modules. The Mosaic Safety Designer software system MSD with timing, counting, logical and memory operators, communications and muting choices is provided at no further expense with each Mosaic master unit.
