Datalogic Sensors
Datalogic has a broad family of sensor products available. They offer a comprehensive product portfolio of photoelectric and proximity sensors, rotary encoders, temperature controllers and measurement devices. These product lines offer solutions for applications involving color, contrast and luminescence, label detection, dimensional measurement and distance sensing and measurement.
With Datalogic industrial area and dimension light grids, many light beams are used to measure the height of an object by seeing which beams are blocked by the object. Area and Dimension light grids utilize many light beams for space or dimensional measurements of objects. This data is fed to a controller or computer to store the measured dimension of the part. Models of light grids vary by length to match every application. ISE Controls in Indianapolis, Indiana can decide the best Datalogic product for your measurement needs.
Datalogic contrast sensors have the ability to detect the change in the intensity of the light returning to the sensor from a target. When the change occurs, an output is energized to tell a controller of this occurrence. A typical application of these sensors is the detection of color registration marks on printing machines to change the color of ink used. Also they are used on packaging machines to synchronize the folding, cutting and fastening phases of forming boxes. ISE Controls’ personnel are well versed on contrast sensing to help you improve your processes. Contact them today in their Indianapolis, Indiana facility.
Luminescence sensor
Luminescence sensors emit invisible UV light that excites fluorescent and phosphorescent surfaces, shifting into the visible light spectrum. Luminescence sensors are employed in many industrial fields to sense objects containing phosphor. Examples are, labels on glass or mirrors, fluorescent marks marked on tiles, fluorescent glues on paper, cutting and stitching guides, as well as fluorescent paints or lubricants.
Fork
A fork sensor is a specific model of the through beam sensor, Where an emitter and receiver are placed opposite to each other on the interior sides of a slotted housing. Any target passing through the interior slot interrupts the beam and is detected. Typical fork sensor applications are hole/teeth detection on wheels, label detection on thin supports, and edge detection or continuity of sheets of labels or tapes. The emission is usually infrared or red light so as to detect colored registration marks on semitransparent films.
Color
Datalogic color sensors utilize different color LEDs to determine the color of an object. The tolerance is adjusted on the sensor to detect the difference between two different colors or between two different shades of the same color. Color sensors solve a large number of applications, such as quality and process controls to automatic material handling for the identification, orientation, and sorting of objects per their color.
