Datalogic distance measuring sensors incorporate Time of Flight (T.O.F.) technology: the measurement of the distance is calculated from the time between the instant the light is generated to the moment the emitted light is mirrored off the target and back to the sensing element. Contrast

Luminescence sensor
Luminescence sensors emit invisible UV light that excites fluorescent and phosphorescent surfaces, shifting into the visible light spectrum. Fork
