MTL Instruments was a pioneer and an innovator in the Intrinsic Safety industry. They were one of the first companies to begin the use of Zener barriers. This style barrier drastically changed the barrier product offering by reducing the size and the cost of the existing products on the market. Today it is the standard due to these same reasons. They meet all the international and domestic regulations for use in hazardous locations for intrinsic safety. Some of the barriers from MTL are also safety rated for machine safety applications.
