It stands to reason that the same company that invented the first safety interlock in the world would be the same company to produce the first integrated Multi-function Gate Box or MGB. An MGB combines the safety functions of a gate switch up to Category 4 PLe, the locking mechanism used to prevent entry into a work cell until all hazardous motion has come to a stop, and operator devices such as Request to Enter buttons, pilot lights, and push buttons. All these functions are integrated into one product for ease of implementation and less cost. All this in one MGB without compromising the highest degree of machine safety. The new MGB2 version has Profisafe and Profinet connectivity along with a very modular approach which allows for more field modifications and flexibility.
•    Solenoid locking or spring locking versions
•    Many options for the addition of various pilot devices on the switch
•    Two different RFID safety switches utilized. One for if the door is closed and the other for if the door is latched
•    Lockout mechanism integral to the switch
•    Rear release handle allows person trapped in the cell to open the gate and get out
•    Easy field modification to allow the same switch to operate a left or right hand door
